Headmen constitute the first link of the democracy chain in the neighborhood or village where they are located. It acts as a bridge between the public and state institutions and forms the building blocks of local democracy. Mukhtars, continues the tradition of 190 years in Turkey and is highly experienced building. In this consciousness, 23 mukhtars working in our city met with the Mayor of Lüleburgaz in compliance with the social distance rule and hygiene conditions. During the pandemic period, mukhtars have been one of the most active institutions in terms of serving the public.
Mayor of our city, Dr. Murat Gerenli emphasized the importance of developing an innovative public administration approach. Mayor of Lüleburgaz, who is also a doctor, informed the headmen about the Covid-19 process.
