Establishment of LDA-Edremit; advisory online meeting with ALDA

Edremit Municipality as member of ALDA (European Association for Local Democracy) is working with ALDA team in order to establish in Edremit the first Local Democracy Agency (LDA) in Turkey. The city of Edremit has been selected as host city for the first Local Democracy Agency in Turkey for its engagement in developing the European Idea and the European dimension of our activities supporting the initiative of our citizens according to the principles of participatory democracy and inclusion. The works for the establishment of LDA -Edremit are rapidly proceeding with the guidance of ALDA and the advisory support of several local civil organisations based in Edremit and the Citizens' Council of our municipality. On 1st September 2021 Edremit Municipality and ALDA is planning an online advisory meeting in order to give the start to the establishment of Edremit LDA.
