A COLORFUL DAY JOY WITH DANCE AND MUSIC IN AHMETBEY TOWN

Mayors of Karnobat Municipality in Bulgaria and K?rklareli Municipality in Turkey, folk dance teams, young people, and citizens from both countries were guests of Ahmetbey Municipality. First, a meeting on "International Cooperation to Strengthen Local Democracy" was held in Ahmetbey Municipality Atatürk Park. At the meeting, guest Mayor of Karnobat, Mayor of K?rklareli, and Mayor of the host Ahmetbey made speeches and discussed the contribution of citizens to local democracy, their inclusion in local decision-making processes, local and national measures, cooperation in the fight against global climate change. At the end of the meeting, the 3 Mayors and the young people participating in the meet made commitments to protect the environment and create awareness by planting saplings representing their cities. Folk dance teams also staged folk dances with their colorful local clothes and music.
