"From Waste to Art - The Path of Participation" is a project of design and execution of a mural using recycled material, with the help of students from an elementary school of Valongo throughout the process. This involvement of the students in the creative process (by collecting used materials and rubbish from the mountains, the street and at home, and images alluding to the mountains, their animals and plants) aims to raise awareness of environmental protection through art. Weekly workshops will be held with the students to design and execute modules for insertion in a mural that will be coordinated by Oficina Arara Collective, which will also be responsible for conducting the entire creative process. Within the scope of this project, Paulo Coelho's artistic presentation will also be made using musical instruments made with materials recovered from waste
