Büyükçekmece Municipality held its first council meeting of October within the scope of the European Local Democracy Week. Acting Mayor Mr. Hakan Çebi opened the session by celebrating the week and emphasizing the importance of citizen participation. Council Member Ms. Banu Eraslan delivered a comprehensive speech on the meaning and goals of the European Local Democracy Week. Representatives of all political parties posed together, showing their commitment to strengthening local democracy.
