We DO care!

Within the frames of the project 10 sets of containers were purchased to equip stationary facilities for collecting hazardous waste (luminous lamps, mercury containing thermometers, batteries etc.) from the locals, and a minibus, which is being used as a relocatable collection point. Video tutorials for Kharkiv citizens were produced and launched for this purpose as well. The project was implemented at the cost of Participatory budget of Kharkiv city. The total cost of the project is 1 465 000 UAH (appr. 47 000 euros). The aim of the project was to launch the system of hazardous waste collection from Kharkiv citizens and implement it on a regular basis. The project is carried out in cooperation with NGO “Dobra Volya” (Good Will) and Municipal Enterprise “Municipal Company for Waster Management”. The first container within the frames of the project was installed on April, 26, with the Ecobus started offering its scheduled service on June, 1.
