A total of 30 different tree species were planted in the yard of 3 high schools as part of the Green Heating Plant Campaign. The trees are a donation from the City Heating Plant which has been implementing this project for 4 years. The idea is to plant one tree for each new user connected the central heating distribution system. The building of three schools was heated using heating oil, and that fuel was replaced by connecting the schools to city heating pipeline thus contributing to the reduction of pollution in the city. The plan of the City Heating Plant is to shut down all its fuel oil boiler rooms in the next three years.
