Communication with youth

Involving young people as the main driver of development and qualitative change is always important for the Lviv City Council. It is young people who are most active in responding to environmental initiatives and ready to volunteer. Young people often have ideas on how to improve the city and solve environmental issues, but do not know how to design and submit them properly. During the traditional meeting with young people, we talked about Public Budget, and we encouraged to submit nature-oriented projects. We acquainted with the creation of public organization Plato (with support of the Lviv City Council) «Catalog of Green Solutions» and thus designed young people for creative environmental ideas, and not only within the Public Budget. At the same time, we talked about other tools of public participation — electronic petitions, local initiatives, competitions for NGOs.
